about

Outlaw Space is, in essence, the house band at a unique longtime Seattle experimental music venue that's remained alive in defiance of the forces of capitalism. The place is called Spite House, and it is thus an "outlaw space." This quartet's music also defies convention, fusing new classical, chamber jazz and world music with virtuosic free improvisation. "Drifting Clouds," composed by percussionist Noah Colbeck, is a vessel for the quartet's higher-plan musical connections and virtuosity.

The introduction, a piano solo by Stephen Fandrich, is called "The Tuning Song."
